"Her trapeze act, performed with daring abondon, is a highlight of the show"

- Ernest Albrecht, Spectacle Magazine

Even as a kid, I loved a good challenge and always had a lot of energy, so obviously my first career ambition was to be the first woman in the NBA.

My first gig ever was at age 9 clowning with my Dad at the Family Fun day in my hometown of Portland, Maine. I was hooked, and have since been fortunate to continue doing what I love.

I'm a professional actor, clown, circus performer, director and teacher and have worked in 28 states and 14 countries on 6 continents. I created a performed a lead character role for Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas, won an Audience Choice award at the Krystallpalast in Germany and premiered my solo show Going Up in Medellin, Colombia. One career highlight was arriving onstage by horse-drawn carriage. Another was teaching in the Arctic Circle.

In my free time, I love to bake, balance on one arm and snuggle with my dogs

Although her earliest childhood ambition was to be the first woman in the NBA,

Amanda Crockett started clowning alongside her father at age 9 and never looked back. She is a professional actor, clown, physical comedian, circus performer, director and teacher who has performed her original creations around the world. She originated a lead character and hat juggling role for Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE, won an Audience Choice award at the Krystallpalast in Germany and premiered her solo show at Festival Mímame in Medellin, Colombia. A graduate of the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater, Crockett has studied at Acting Studio Chicago, Improv Olympic, Celebration Barn Theater and trained circus in Australia, Chicago and San Francisco. She has been hailed a “clown jewel” in Shanghai, “absolutely brilliant” in Seattle and has been called a “virtuoso” by clown luminary Avner the Eccentric. After so many years running around the world, Crockett happily makes her home in Chicago.

My first gig ever was at age 9 clowning with my Dad in my hometown of Portland, Maine. I was hooked. All these years later, I still am. As a professional actor, clown, circus performer, director and teacher, I've been very fortunate to do what I love.  I've worked across the US and around the world, and with 6 continents under my belt, I've just got one more left. I created a performed a lead character role for Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson ONE in Las Vegas, won an Audience Choice award at the Krystallpalast in Germany and premiered my solo show, Going Up, in Medellin, Colombia.  Career highlights include arriving onstage by horse-drawn carriage, performing and teaching in the Arctic Circle, and having the legendary Santana told me how much he loved my work.

In my free time, I love to bake, balance on one arm and snuggle with my dogs.
